Josephine Siehien

Josephine Siehien, 80, of Bedford, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her residence. She was born November 7, 1930 in Manhattan, NY, a daughter of the late Josephine Truzzolino Scarpulla and Joseph Scarpulla.

Little Josie always put her family before herself and being a mother was her number one priority. Her gentleness and peacefulness accompanied the spiritual and modest lady that made her the special mother she was to all her family. Her whimsical fun loving spirit enabled her to enjoy traveling and family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, Little Josie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Edward Siehien. She is survived by four children, Patti Siehien and her partner, Al DeWeese, Michael Siehien and his wife, Lauren, and Walter Siehien and his wife, Michelle all of Bedford and Richard Wendlek and his wife, Connie of Lutz, FL; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Scarpulla of Port Richey, FL; and a special niece, Linda Holbrooks of Tampa, FL.

A celebration of Little Josie\"™s life will be conducted at 2 PM, Monday, January 10, 2011 in the Tharp Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
