Josephine T. Campbell, 87, of Lynchburg, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Josephine was born in Lynchburg, on October 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph Goins and Rainey Elder.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jerry Lee Campbell; three brothers, Howard, Joseph, and Willie Goins; and two sisters, Dorothy Wilmouth Wingfield and Mary Elizabeth Hogan.
She is survived by three sons, Danny Ray (Sissy), Joseph David, and Robert Gary (Rhonda) Campbell, all of Lynchburg; two daughters, Sandra Jean Campbell, and Debra Jo Cintron, both of Enterprise, Alabama; and a sister, Hester Corinne Spoon, of Baltimore, Maryland. Josephine is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Josephine’s Life will be held in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018, with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10th at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg.
