Josephine Taliaferro Patterson White, 91, of Lynchburg died Wednesday May 25, 2011. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Erwin White.
Josephine was born December 1, 1919 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late Howard Tompkins Patterson and Hazel Roberts Patterson. She retired from Garland Gay Architectural Partners, enjoyed playing Bridge, was a faithful member of Memorial Christian Church, but her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her devoted family.
She is survived by her son Michael Erwin White and his wife Christine of Roswell, GA, and her grandson Nicholas Erwin White of Roswell, GA and numerous loving nieces and nephews all from the Lynchburg area. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters; Anne Elizabeth White and Pamela Jo White, one brother and four sisters.
A graveside service for Josephine will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday May 30, 2011 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Virgil Knipp officiating.
