Jozy Lee Aldous, 31, of Charlotte County, died Monday, November 13, 2017.
Born in Lynchburg on November 7, 1986, Jozy was a son of Alan Robert Aldous and his wife Vicky and Theresa Gail Moon and her husband Dan.
In addition to his parents, Jozy is survived by his (separated) wife, Jessica Aldous and their son, Hunter Wayne Aldous, his girlfriend, Rebecca Lavender and their son, Layton Joseph Aldous, a brother, Chris Aldous, a sister, Jackie Aldous Eisenhauer and her husband, Glenn; two half-brothers, Matthew Moon and Michael Moon; four stepbrothers, Jonathan Moon and his wife Teresa, Daniel Moon, Jr. and his wife Audrey, Ronnie Johnson and his wife Allison, and Brandon Coffey; two stepsisters; Tracy Gallier and her boyfriend Chris, and Angela Coffey and her boyfriend David; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Mae Aldous; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Furman; his aunts and uncles, Vickie and Jim Budge, Monica and Mike Briggs, Mark Aldous and his wife, Carie, and Scott Aldous and his wife, Monica; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jozy was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin J. Aldous, and Jared A. Aldous.
Jozy attended Rustburg High School and graduated with a GED. He worked for Fairhart Farm in Rustburg tending cattle. He excelled at welding, a skill he learned when he worked for NTS. He loved riding dirt bikes and fishing.
A Celebration of Jozy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Tharp Funeral Home, in care of Jozy Aldous Funeral Fund.
