Judith Elliott Halderman, 75, of Forest, died Sunday July 25, 2021, she was the wife of Lenard D. Halderman for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Veres, an amazing child who would do anything for her and whom she missed so much also her loving sister Arlene Nystrom.
Born on July 31, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois she was a daughter of the late James Hennell Elliott and the late Alice Mary Stermin. Judith attended Ruskin High School in Kansas City, Mo., and completed 2 years of college. She enjoyed crafting and crocheting hats for chemo patients and loved her two cats Angel (her son Michael’s) and Little Bit.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Joe Veres (April) and her daughter Tammy Jo Smith (Greg); grandsons, Joseph Veres (Lily), Kyle Veres (Elizabeth) and Jeremy Rogers; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Grayson, Jackson, Carson, Madelyn, and Colson.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg with the Rev. Jack Barrett officiating.
