Judith Lorraine Collie Holland, affectionately called either “Judy” or “mama”, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 25, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital at the age of 62.
Judy was born on December 7, 1953 in Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Alfred Lee Collie and Georgia Payton Collie, a beloved brother, Steve “Scuba” Collie, and a son-in-law, Richard Ragland.
She had a lot of love to give and was blessed with a very large family. She is survived by her children, Christina Holland (Carl), Adam Holland (Loretta), Jenny Ragland, and Angela Holland (David), her siblings Linda Leslie (Wayne), Jimmy Collie, Aleta Ratliff (John), and Joe Collie. Nana loved her grandchildren and was blessed with many: Brittany, Christian, Sallie Ann, Breanna, Branden, Chase, Piper, Reilly, Savannah, Skylar, and her “adopted” grandkids: Katie, Sara, Kathryn, Rowdy, Chance, Amaris, Matthew, and Diana.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A graveside service for Judith will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday April 28, 2016 at Centralia Cemetery, in Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at 14300 Beach Rd., Chesterfield, VA.
