Judith Lynn Holdren passed peacefully with her husband and daughter holding her hands on Sunday, June 11, 2023. She was the loving wife of Arvid William Holdren for 46 years.
Judith was born in Village, VA, a daughter of the late Elton Lee O’ Bier and Ruth Evelyn Brann O’Bier. She was a graduate of Farnham High School. Judith enjoyed spending time with her family at the lake and being a caretaker for her loved ones.
In addition to her husband, Judith is survived by her devoted daughter, Teresa Lynn Holdren and her fiancé, Tommy Hayes; her grandchildren, Katie Lynn Hensley, and her husband, BJ, and Jessica Lee Cunningham; her great-grandchildren, Grayden, Audrina, and Axel Hensley; her sisters-in-law, Mary O’Bier and Sharon Holdren; her nieces and nephews, Tammy, Christal, Dennis, and Jason; her great nieces, Shana and Tiffany; two of her closest cousins, Ruth Dyson and Margie Schools; three of her dearest friends, Fay Jones, Sara Pentecost, and Barbara Relf; and numerous cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elton Leroy O’Bier, father-in-law and mother-in-law, William H. Holdren and Katherine B. Holdren; and her brother-in-law, Emmett B. Holdren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Virginia Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Thomas officiating.
The family asks that no food or flowers be delivered to the home, but that you may honor Judith’s memory by sending memorial contributions to Oakland United Methodist Church, 2465 Goode Station Road, Goode, VA 24556, where Judith enjoyed attending, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
