June Archer Kelly

August 2, 1940 — June 22, 2018

June Archer Kelly, 77, of Lynchburg, Virginia, took up her final residence in Glory with the Savior she loved and longed for on June 22, 2018.

Born Friday, August 2, 1940, in Astoria, N.Y., June was one of two daughters born to the late Joseph and Jessie Archer.

June’s legacy is one of loving devotion to her God, family, friends, and those lost and less fortunate than herself. June had a heart for ministry as was evidenced by her avid prayers and generous giving in order to promote the Kingdom of Heaven. Closest to her heart were special missions in War, West Virginia, and outreach to God’s chosen people of Israel. She lived her life with the goal of hearing the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!” We have no doubt that she was greeted with those very words and is now rejoicing in the presence of the One she loved and served wholeheartedly.

June is survived by her loving sister, Holly Archer. She is also survived by her children: Ginger Leffler; Holly Sue Honeycutt and her husband, Will; Debra Helt and her husband, David; Lynn Musti and her husband, Bob: Jill Kelly; Robin Hubbard and her husband, Bob; Christine Mayotte and Billy Kelly. June also had many loving grandchildren who are: Colleen and Jon Kelly; Lauren Leffler; Heather and Taylor McCarl; Kaitlynn Bowen; Mia and Reagan Hubbard; Rilee, Kitty, and Gavin Kelly; Kristiana Helt; AJ, Danny, and Amy Garibaldi; and Anthony Musti. June also has two great grandchildren: Trinity Butler and Olivia Martin. She also leaves behind numerous loving friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Tharp Funeral Home located at 220 Breezewood Dr., in Lynchburg, Va. This will be immediately followed, at 11:00 a.m., by a celebration of June’s life with Nancy Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Virginia Memorial Park, 11490 Forest Rd., Forest, Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to further the mission closest to June’s heart in War, W.Va., at: Pentecostal Holiness Church, P. O. Box 131, War, WV, 24892. ATTN: Rev. Nancy Bennett, Sr. Pastor.
