June Fizer Tyler, 90, of Bedford passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur Freeman Tyler.
Born October 26, 1927 in Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Charles Henry Fizer, Jr. and Marion Pauline Burton Fizer. June is also preceded in death by two sisters: Margaret Mabry, Marion Clary; three brothers: Melvin, Neil, and Charles Fizer.
She is survived by her two daughters: Charmie Ann Richardson and husband, Patrick, Julia Elaine Hall and husband, Larry; sister; Sheila Sweet and husband, Mel; sister-in-law; Juanita Fizer and two grandchildren; Tommy and Phillip Hall.
June retired from C&P Telephone Company. She was active in the Bedford Christian Ministry, and was a member of Thaxton Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Thaxton Baptist Church(Heritage Hall), conducted by Rev. Mark Gaganti. June will be laid to rest at Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Bedford Christian Ministry, 217 W. Washington Street, Bedford, VA 24523.
