June Wilkerson Mens
June McRee Wilkerson Mens, 84, of Bedford, died Monday, July 29, 2013 in Bedford County Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Maynard John Mens.
Born March 25, 1929 in Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Walter Wilkerson and Hettie James Wilkerson. She retired from Sam Moore Furniture and was a member of Suck Spring Baptist Church.
June is also preceded in death by her three brothers, Carlton Wilkerson, John Wilkerson and Atwell (Nat) Wilkerson.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Arrington; nieces and nephews; two stepdaughters and two stepsons.
June was well cared for the past four years by the staff of the Bedford County Nursing Home.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Suck Spring Baptist Church.
