Justin Bailey Holt
Justin Bailey Holt, 16, of Forest, VA, died Monday, March 26, 2012, as a result of a dirt bike accident.
Born Sunday, May 28, 1995 in Lynchburg, Justin was a son of Larry and Darlene Holt.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bruce Holt.
In addition to his parents Justin is survived by a brother, Jacob Holt and a sister, Serena Holt, grandmothers: Betty Jane Holt, of Stuart, VA, and Judy Holt, of Stuart, VA; his grandfather, Jim Holt and his wife, Linda, of Bakersfield, CA, a special grandfather, Lewis Bowman, of Stuart, VA, three uncles: Tony Holt and his wife, Darlene, of Woolwine, VA, Ben Holt and his wife, Sonyja, of Wendell, NC, and David Holt, of Bakersfield, CA, and cousins: Sarah and Suzanne Holt, of Wendell, NC.
Justin was full of life; he loved music, especially playing the guitar. He had the ability to listen to a song and then play it. He was never content being alone. He loved hanging out with his friends, especially camping, the more the merrier. Justin was well known as a prankster, who always enjoyed a good practical joke with his friends. Justin liked guns and enjoyed target practicing with his father and grandfather.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the main worship center of Heritage Baptist Church, directly across the street from Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Patrick Memorial Gardens, Stuart, VA, with the Rev. Richard Glenn Elgin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Jefferson Forest High School Band in memory of Justin Holt.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
