Karen Kelley (Lowe) Ramsey

Karen Kelley (Lowe) Ramsey, 51, of Goode, was called home by our Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, to help take care of His critters. She was born in Lynchburg on July 9, 1961, to the late Arthur Lowe, Jr. and the late Barbara Marie (Burnett) Lowe. She was preceded in death by her beloved horses, Noble and Nugget, and her beloved dog, Amber.

 She is survived by her two brothers, David M. Lowe and his wife, Caroline (Bouttemy) Lowe of Fulton, MD, and Mark P. Lowe and his wife, Stacey (Weldon) Lowe of Lynchburg; her niece and nephews, Sonja N. Lowe, Karl E. Lowe, and Marin E. Lowe; her dogs, Hanna and Brooke; and her horses, Raven and Armani.

 Karen graduated from E. C. Glass High School and Virginia Tech. She was a PTA at the Medical Care Center in Lynchburg.

 Those wishing to remember Karen, as the animal lover she was, may consider a contribution to their local Humane Society, or the Central Virginia Horse Rescue, 389 Boydton Plank Road, Brodnax, VA 23920, in lieu of flowers.

 A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Fort Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend Phillip Waltz officiating.
