Karen Sue Nelson Houston, 63, of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was the loving wife of Melvin Houston, Jr.
Born on April 19, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Paul Wayne and Margie Rae Bryant Nelson. She worked for Ericsson for many years as a radio assembler.
In addition to her husband, those left behind to cherish Karen’s memory are her sons, Melvin Houston, III and his wife, Melanie, and Christopher Lance Houston; her grandchildren, Ansley Stockstill and her husband, Justin, Madison Crouch, Jayden Houston, Jourden Houston, and Lindsay Houston; her siblings, Courtney Murray and her husband, Michael, Ronald Nelson and his wife, Shirley, Brenda Burks and her husband, Randy, and Pamela Starck; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
