Karen Peters Hart , 53, of Amherst, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 17, 2015.
She was a graduate of Amherst High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Amherst.
Surviving are her parents Pastor Dave and Vera Peters of Amherst; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David Ray and Cheryl Peters, Ricky and Carolyn Peters all of Amherst; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Brian Read of Waynesboro and Ginger and Rob Hahn of King, North Carolina; 14 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church at 12 noon Thursday November 19, 2015 with Pastor Chuck Peters and Pastor Nathan Wiedman officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in Briar Wood Cemetery in Amherst.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
