Karla Stanley Gay Coleman, 49, of Bedford, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Christopher Patrick Coleman.
Born November 18, 1965 in Lynchburg she was the daughter of Dorothy Wilson Stanley and the late Cecil Carter Stanley.
Karla is also survived by her three children: Derek, Brett, and Anna Gay; her brother: Brian Dale Stanley and his wife, Christy; her granddaughter: Cali Gay; and her former husband: Jeff Gay.
Karla was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed staying home and raising her children. Her favorite place to eat was Cracker Barrel and her favorite television channels were HGTV, Food Network, History Channel ( American Pickers). She loved to shop at Antiques shops and she loved Auctions. She also loved to tease her brother by telling him wrestling was fake.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 in Virginia Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
The family request memorial contributions be made in Karla’s memory to Southerncare Hospice .
