Katherine Ann Brown Cooke, 59, died at Liberty Ridge on May 02, 2014, with her family by her side.
Kathy was born January 30, 1955 in Syracuse, New York, to Jean and Jim Brown, of Lynchburg, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Kathy is survived by her husband of 39 years Richard (Buzzy) Cooke, Jr., one son BJ Cooke and his wife, Jeanine, of Lynchburg, three special grandchildren: Craig, Gavin, and Madison Cooke; three brothers: Kenny Brown and his wife, Cheryl, Jimmy Brown and his wife, Beverly, John Brown and his wife, Susan.
Kathy was Queen of the Lynchburg Chapter of the “Chatty Hatties†of the Red Hat Society. She was a wife and mother-loved life to the fullest. Her pride and joy was her family. She had a multitude of friends that loved her very much. She loved her extended family of the Southern Cruisers, and her extended camping families. She will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 05, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 06, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Mack Almond officiating.
