Katherine Lawhorne Davis
Katherine Lawhorne Davis, 93, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010. She was the wife of the late Walter William Davis.
Katherine was born Saturday, August 12, 1916 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Elisha Dolphus Currier and Mary A. Kidd Currier. She was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Larry Lawhorne and wife, Candy of Lynchburg; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Albert Lawhorne; two daughters, Maryann Trent and Carol Rowe and her six siblings.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Becky Cloud officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
