Kathi Pendleton-Mays

Kathi Pendleton-Mays passed away peacefully at home after her battle with breast cancer on July 29, 2024, at the age of 67.

Kathi was born on August 1, 1956 in Lynchburg to Joyce Bryant and Charles Pendleton, Sr. She grew up in and claimed Chesapeake, Va. as her hometown. She graduated from Western Branch High School in Chesapeake. In 1977 she joined her family in Amherst.

Kathi loved going to North Myrtle Beach and anything beachy; her family, friends, plants, and flowers.

She is survived by her son, Charlton Blake Mays, her sister, Grace Thompson and husband, Mike, her brother, Chuck Pendleton Jr and wife, Sharon, her mother, Joyce Pendleton, one nephew, and 3 nieces.

A graveside service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery on Monday, August 05, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Boyles officiating.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
