Kathryn Emma-Jane Ramos
Kathryn Emma-Jane Ramos, 71, of Lynchburg died Thursday December 13, 2012 she was the loving wife of Luis Ramos.
Kathryn was born January 1, 1941 in Cornwall, NY a daughter of the late Odell Gladwell and the late Grace DeSappio Gladwell. Kathryn was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved cooking and being with her family. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Victoria Baez of Lynchburg; Nancy Cash and husband Melvin of Lynchburg; Peter Ayala of OH; Anthony Ayala of GA; Michel Prieto and husband Arturo of Calif.; Luis Ramos, Jr. and wife Amanda and Lena Ramos all of Lynchburg, one sister Virginia Gladwell of Lynchburg, 24 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Douglas Gladwell.
A Celebration of Kathryn\"™s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 20, 2012 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Msgr. J. Kenneth Rush officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to St. Jude Children\"™s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
