Kathy Elaine Martin

Kathy Elaine Martin, 48, of Lynchburg, VA, died Sunday, February 23, 2014, with her family by her side.

 

Born January 19, 1966, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of Judy Pugh Martin and the late Claude William Martin.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Beatrice Clark Pugh and William Marshall Pugh, Etta Trent and Claude Herman Martin.

 

Kathy graduated from Heritage High School in 1984, retired from Central Virginia Training School after 23 years of service and was a member of Fairview Christian Church.

 

In addition to her Mother, Kathy is survived by several aunts and uncles:  Faye P. Lipscomb of Lynchburg;  Danny Pugh (Sherry) of Spout Spring, VA;  Doris Eggleston of Brookneal; Peggy Moore of Evington, VA and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many friends and her 5 special pets.

 

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Fairview Christian Church with Pastor Curtis Wheeler officiating.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

 

The family wishes to thank all the nurses and doctors who took care of Kathy, with a special thank you to the Hospice team of nurses at Virginia Baptist Hospital.
