Kendall Adam Smith

Kendall Adam Smith, 24, of Forest went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 5, 2012.  

 

Kendall was born August 2, 1988, in Lynchburg. He was a son of Jerry R. Smith, of Lynchburg and Ronda Simpson Smith \"momma bear\", of Forest. He was a 2006 Graduate of Jefferson Forest High School and a 2007 Graduate of Wyotech Technical Institute where he received technical degrees in both Motorsports Chassis Fabrication and Advanced Automotive Diagnostics.

 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Nicholas Blake Smith, who was always there for him, of Forest, his maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Simpson of Waynesboro, his maternal grandparents, Leo and Betty Simpson of Bedford, two uncles, Terry Smith and his wife Jo of Lynchburg, Kevin Simpson and his wife Marie of Forest, three aunts, Heidi Simpson of Bedford, Bonnie Reese and her husband Michael of Arrington, and Robin Johnson and her husband Mike of Lynchburg; and numerous cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother Justin Ryan Smith (who was his best friend and soul mate), his paternal grandparents, Roy and Lila Smith, and great-grandfather Sterling Simpson.

 

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday October 10, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg and all other times at his aunt\"™s home at: 57 Irma Drive Lynchburg.

A Celebration of Kendall\"™s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 11, 2012 at Timberlake United Methodist Church with Pastor Rob Colwell and Pastor Larry Davies officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
