Kenneth D. Wade, II, of 1082 N. Fairway Drive, London Downs, Forest, departed this life on May 15, 2011. Born in Virginia Beach on August 11, 1964, he is survived by his parents Dr. K. Dallas Wade and Pamela M. Wade of Forest; sister, Shannon K. Horning; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Horning; nephew Kathan Horning and niece Kinley Ann Horning of Forest. His sister Tammy Ann Wade preceded him in death.

Kenneth was graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Hollywood, CA. He attended Central Virginia Community College and majored in Business Administration. In 1982 he was graduated from Heritage High School where he was active in sports and student activities.

After working in retail management in Lynchburg, he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC where he managed several restaurants. Kenneth was very active in his church and civic activities. He worked with abused, neglected and underprivileged children amongst others. In 1989 the Myrtle Beach Mayor honored him with the Citizen-of- the-Year award.

During 1992 Kenneth moved to Atlanta, GA where he became political campaign manager for a mayor and councilmen. He was a public relations manager. Kenneth became a public speaker on substance abuse, eating disorders and dyslexia. He also worked with organizations dealing with the prevention of cancer, Alzheimer\"™s and multiple sclerosis. During the 100th Olympiad Games of 1996, Kenneth was named Atlanta\"™s Community Hero Torchbearer, Host Committee, and participated in the opening and closing ceremonies. Additionally he was honored by Atlanta\"™s mayor as Volunteer-of-the-Year.

In 1996, Kenneth made West Hollywood, CA his home. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts he worked full time as an actor, stand-up comic, writer and producer in Hollywood. For his humanitarian work, the City of Los Angeles named him Volunteer-of-the-Year. Kenny received Proclamations and Commendations for his humanitarian work from State of South Carolina, Georgia and California and the U.S. Senate.

Kenny was active in church serving in such positions as deacon and elder. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.

A celebration of the life of Kenny will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Timberlake Christian Church. The Reverend Doctor Robert Mooty and Reverend Alan Combs will officiate.
