On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, an angel of mercy dropped by 122 Dulwich Drive, Apt. 18, Amherst, Va. And escorted Keshia Marie Grooms to be with the Lord.
She was born April 30, 1987 to David, Sr. and Julia Grooms.
Keshia accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Bolling Hill Baptist Church. She graduated from Amherst County High School in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roger and Linda Grooms and Collie, Sr. and Laura Johnson; and one uncle, James “Buck” Shelton.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted parents; one brother, David Grooms, Jr. (LaToya) of Madison Heights, Va.; one sister, Consuela Morgan of Nelson County, Va.; three loving nieces whom she loved dearly, Brianna Grooms, Alexis Grooms, and Neveyah Howard; one loving nephew whom she loved dearly, Tres Wells; four aunts, Ruby Grooms (Henry Sparrow), Malie Allen (Wayne) of Amherst, Va., Margaret Johnson of Arrington, Va., and Inez Haynes of Lynchburg, Va.; three uncles, Warren Grooms of Lynchburg, Va., David Johnson of Arrington, Va. And Collie Johnson, Jr. of Scottsville, Va.; one loving great aunt, Ruth Randolph (Howard, Jr.) of Madison Heights, Va.; a devoted friend, Victoria Briggs of Arrington, Va.; and a host of friends who loved her dearly.
A celebration of Keshia’s life will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rodney Sandidge officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Mount Baptist Church Cemetery in Arrington, Va.
