Kh'layla Lynn Nedeau

Kh'layla Lynn Nedeau, a sweet angel whose short yet precious life touched the hearts of many, was born on January 22, 2025, in Lynchburg, Virginia. The world welcomed her with open arms, only to see her return to the divine heavens after her arrival at Virginia Baptist Hospital.

Though her time among us was fleeting, Kh'layla's spirit shone brightly, embodying love, hope, and the promise of new beginnings. God called her home immediately, leaving an imprint of joy on the lives she changed forever. Her loving family will forever hold her memory close, treasuring the brief moments spent with their treasured daughter, granddaughter, and sister.

Kh'layla leaves behind her devoted parents, Tyneka Jones and Mark Nedeau, who envisioned a bright future for their beautiful little girl. She is also survived by her cherished brother, Kh'air Nedeau. Among those mourning her passing are her beloved gigi, Flecia Jones, great-grandmother, Sharon Steptoe (Gary). Kh'layla had a circle of love that included her aunts, Deonika Cocke (Michael) and Julie Blake (Kevin), as well as her great-aunts, Jackie Jones and Marylou Gilchrist (Alton), and great-uncles, Moe and Marvin Jones. Her Godparents, Jessica Jones and Kevin Smith, will forever be grateful for the moment they were blessed to know her.

Kh'layla joins her beloved nana, Debbie Nedeau, and great-great-grandmother, Bernice Jones, in eternal rest. While her time was brief, the love and joy she brought into the world will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends for all time. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, a reminder of the sweet angel they were fortunate to know, even if just for a moment.

 A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
