Kim Ann Webster, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 24, 2019.
Loving sister, mother, and grandmother will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lindsay June Somers; and son, Ryan Matthew Somers, his wife, Schuyler Godsey Somers; her beloved grandchildren, Holt, Oscar, Grove, and Fielder. Kim is the daughter of Grove and Beverly Webster. Kim is survived by her sister, June Beverly Webster-Lepski; and brother, Grove Thomas Webster. She will always be remembered by her close friends, Martha and David Hackworth, Tommy Morris, Carrie Hux, along with countless treasured friends.
Kim was a renaissance woman who was a friend to everyone she met. She worked as a tour guide for the Smithsonian Institution; the Lynchburg Training Center and the Lynchburg City Assessors office, she was an avid student of history and studied at Lynchburg College, she worked with her family at L. Oppleman. Throughout her life, Kim remained dedicated to family, children, and grandchildren whom she loved to be with.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A private family internment will be held at The Old City Cemetery at a later date.
