Kimberly April Ewers, aged 55, left this world on October 3, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital, surrounded by the warmth and love she spread throughout her life. Born on December 11, 1968, in Evansville, Indiana, Kim was not just a person; she was a vibrant spirit, whose life was a testament to compassion and charity.
A proud graduate of E. C. Glass High School and Radford University, Kim found her calling in the healthcare profession as a Registered Nurse. Her commitment was not merely a job; it was a deep-seated passion to help, heal, and nurture her patients, all delivered with kindness and expertise.
Kim was truly a multifaceted individual, known for her sassy personality and flair as a fashionista. Her sense of style was only matched by her thriftiness, showing that one could be elegant while being mindful. She had an innate ability to find joy in every moment, spreading fun and laughter wherever she went. Her caring and loving nature extended beyond her professional life; she was a compassionate soul who dedicated her time to knitting, crocheting, and cooking, often infusing these hobbies with her desire to take care of others.
Kim leaves behind a loving family who will carry her spirit with them: her husband, Ballard M. Ewers, Ill; her father, Kenneth Willis, and stepmother, Carol Willis; her cherished daughter, Taylor Campbell; her stepsons, Baxter Ewers and Gunther Ewers; her beloved granddaughters, Ava Campbell, Kenya Muindi, and Hazeleigh Trent; and her brothers, Kelley Willis and Kirk Willis. Each of them has been deeply touched by her love and will forever have her in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Eastham Willis, who is surely welcoming her with open arms in the embrace of eternity.
A Celebration of Kim's Life will be held on October 9, 2024, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory in Lynchburg, Virginia, where family and friends can gather to pay tribute to her remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we reminisce about her infectious laughter and unwavering spirit, we will celebrate the gift that Kimberly April Ewers was to us all.
