Lajwanda Orjettia Austin

Lajwanda Orjettia Austin departed her life on August 31, 2024, after a decline in her health. Lajwanda was born December 13, 1968, to Carrol Austin and the late Jurniece Austin Bond.

Lajwanda graduated from Heritage High School. She worked and retired from Central Virginia Training Center. She attended Silver Grove Baptist Church where she served as a member of usher board until her health declined. 

Lajwanda aka Back leaves to cherish her memory her father Carrol (Ernestine), her son Dajuan who she loved to the moon and back, two goddaughters LeBre Annan and Dominique Skinner both of Lynchburg. She also leaves her brother Calvin (Benita) of Hampton, a sister Kim Jenkins, a devoted niece and nephew Amiya and Calvin II Austin of Hampton, favorite cousin Dwayne (DA) Harris of Roanoke, devoted cousin and caregiver Brenda Jackson of Lynchburg, other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, devoted friends you know who you are, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel September 14th, 2024 at 3:00P.M. with Pastor William Glover of Silver Grove Baptist Church as eulogist.

The family will be receiving friends and family at 125 Jubliee Drive, Lynchburg, VA.
