Larry Allen Bruffy, Sr., 68, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, April 1, 2016.
Larry was born Thursday, January 22, 1948 in Lynchburg, Va., a son of the late Edward Samuel Bruffy and Sophia Ayers Bruffy. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Left to cherish Larry’s memory are his daughters, Evelyn Chapman (Geffery), of Lynchburg, Va. and Amanda Davidson, of Biloxi, MS; son, Larry A. Bruffy, Jr. (Kim), of Rustburg, Va.; sisters, Delores Purvis (John), of Forest, Va. and Brenda Chapman (Michael), of Appomattox, Va.; grandchildren, Kristina Yarborough, Crystal Wright, Tyler Arthur, Jacob Bruffy, Kasey Bruffy, Kadence Martin, and Landon Martin; great-grandchildren, Madison Blevins, Brianne Blevins, and Logan Wright.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Bruffy.
A celebration of life will be held at Love and Truth Community Church Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Fred Williams officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
