Larry Allen Bailey

Larry Allen Bailey, 77, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025. He was the loving husband of Paulette Miles Bailey for over 56 years.

Larry was born on January 16, 1948, in Christiansburg, Virginia, a son of the late Blonnie Bailey and Verna Roberts Daughtery. Larry honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force active duty for 4 years and then the U.S. Air Force and Navy Reserve for additional 12 years. He was retired from Framatome where he worked as a nuclear engineer, and attended Thomas Road Baptist Church. Larry was active in his community and volunteered with the Salvation Army, Camp Victory Junction in North Carolina, and supporter of the veterans at Monument Terrace in Lynchburg, and was co-Chair Volunteer Coordinator with his wife at the National Center for Healthy Veterans of Altavista.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters: Kimberly Renee Bailey of Lynchburg, and Heather Bailey Bowen of Lynchburg, two grandchildren Miles McRae Bowen of Lynchburg, and Sydney Renee Bowen of Lynchburg, and one great-granddaughter Chloe Madeline Bowen. 

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
