Larry Dean Davison

Larry Dean Davison, 74, of Bedford, VA, passed away on August 16, 2024. Born on July 27, 1950, in Alexandria, VA, Larry dedicated a significant part of his life to military service, proudly serving in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, and later in the Army National Guard from 1977 until 1993.

 A simple man at heart, Larry was deeply patriotic and took great pride in his service during the Vietnam War. Beyond his military life, he cherished his time with his family, his dogs, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of a good buffet. Larry's hobbies included playing poker, scratching lottery tickets, and traveling with his beloved wife, Piper. He relished in spending quality time with his family, creating lasting memories.

 Larry is survived by his wife, Piper Davison; sons, Jeff Davison (Lisa), Jonathan Davison (Jody), Glenn Davison, and Ryan Davison; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Tommy and Clifford Davison, and sisters, Patsy Young and Michelle Davison.

 Larry's life was a testament to his love for his family and country. His legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing they will be reunited one day in Heaven. 

 The committal of Larry's cremains will be held at a family ceremony on Tuesday, August 27th at 10 am at Bedford Cemetery, 1131 Park Street, Bedford VA. A casual memorial service shall follow at 11:30 am at Peaks View Christian Church, 1604 Moneta Road, Bedford, VA.
