Larry Hill Knight

Larry Hill Knight, age 76, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was born on August 2, 1948, in Lynchburg, Va. He was the son of Kemper Knight and Kathleen Gaddy Knight, who preceded him in death.

Larry enjoyed a fulfilling career with Central Fidelity Bank until his retirement. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially enjoying golf and football. He also had a fondness for sports cars and loved going to the beach with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Lawman Knight; and his daughters, Carla Lindsay (Kenny), Heather Knight, and Sarah Bolinger (Brandon). He is loved and missed by his grandchildren, Jamee Williams, Chevy Williams, Corey Gribbin (Fiancée Carmen Rucker), Bentley Bolinger, and Liam Bolinger. He also leaves behind his sister Phyllis Anders and nephew Shawn Anders.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Williams and his nieces, Kim Shortt and Stacey Stevens.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Dr., Lynchburg, Va. A graveside service will take place on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Virginia Memorial Park.
