Larry Wayne Dunn

Larry Wayne Dunn, 73, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday July 28, 2021, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Darlene Dunn for 54 years.
Born on March 10, 1948, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Russell Dunn and the late Beatrice Kreger. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was the owner of White Rock Food Mart.
In addition to his wife Darlene, he is survived by his daughter Christy Kirkland (Jeff); granddaughter, Mackenzie West (Austin); two great-grandchildren, Maddox and Mason West; sister, Dianne Pritchett; and aunts Eunice Wieringo and Phyllis Morrison.
Wayne is predeceased by his sister Brenda Hobbs.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021, in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. Casual clothes recommended by Wayne.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday August 1, 2021, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
