Larry Leroy Woolfolk was born on August 25, 1951, in Bedford County, Virginia and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 3, 2024. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Trimiar Woolfolk, and foster parents Archie and Melissa Woolfolk. Larry attended Bedford County schools.
He joined First Baptist Church of Goode, Virginia at an early age where he later served as an usher. Later in life he became a faithful member of 8th Street Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and van driver. Larry retired from Archer Creek Foundry and Lynchburg City Schools after over 30 years of service.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory three daughters Erika Woolfolk and Nicole Mitchell of Lynchburg, Virginia, Arion Woolfolk of Jacksonville, Florida, and son O’Neil Woolfolk of Lynchburg, Virginia, fiancé Della White, brothers Reverend Charles (Janie) Woolfolk, Jimmy Woolfolk and fiancé Carolyn Barrett, Bill (Phyllis) Richie, Donald Lee Richie, one sister Joan Jones, one brother-in-law Elder Malcolm W. (Priscilla) Trimiar, and one sister-in-law, Letha Coleman, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A public visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg on Friday October 11, 2024 from 6 - 8 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday October 12, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel at 11:00A.M. Mr. Woolfolk will lie in repose one hour prior to service.
