Laura Hutchens Peak, 25, of Evington, passed away and went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 08, 2015. She was the loving wife of Adam Carter Peak and superMom to Madison Leigh and Carter Cole Peak.
She was born on 6/7/89 to Terry and Lisa Hutchens and sister Mary-Catherine Hutchens. She attended and served her Lord at Freedom Baptist Church in Forest. She graduated from Boonsboro Elementary, Forest Middle, Jefferson Forest High School, CVCC, attended Virginia Tech and last graduated from Liberty University. She worked for PCHP/Centra Health and was an avid Hokie football fan.
She loved her family with all that she was and no one was ever a stranger to her. Ever reaching out to others, she gave blood often and really encouraged others to do so as well. Even in death, she still wanted to help others and donated many of her organs so that others may live. She loved every type of music and loved to dance and sing. She was so thankful for all the prayers that went up for Oscar her loving dog a couple weeks ago as well.
In addition to her husband, children, parents and sister, she is survived by her grandmother Joyce Ballowe of Lynchburg, uncle Tony Hutchens of Roanoke and his wife Rose and their family, uncle Tracy Hutchens of Bassett, uncle David Ballowe and his wife Susan of Cary, NC, great aunts Barbara Ballowe and Marjorie Vaughan of Lynchburg and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Sidney Ballowe of Lynchburg, grandparents John and Linnie Hutchens of Bassett.
