Laura Martin Peery
Laura Martin Peery, 88, of Concord, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Amherst County, to the late Benjamin Franklin Martin and May Elizabeth Noell Martin.
She was preceded in death by husband, Elbert Matthew Peery, Sr., son Michael Allen Peery, grandson Matthew Bryant Peery, brothers Frank, Wesley and Warren and sisters Evelyn, Frances, Rose and Annie.
Laura is survived by sons Elbert "Bert" Peery, Jr. and his wife, Linda Freeman Peery, Gregory Keith Peery, Donald Wayne Peery and daughter Judith Haden and husband, Lynwood Haden. She is also survived by grandchildren Dennis Wayne Peery, Sharon Peery Taylor, Craig Thomas Peery, Crystal Peery Reynolds, Lisa Peery Wilson and Jonathan Wayne Peery.
Laura was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 4th, 2012 in the chapel of Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Grooms officiating.
