Lawrence “Larry” David Pierceall, Sr. 72, of Bedford passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was the husband of Judith Ann Flowers Elston Pierceall.
Born September 13, 1945 in Athens, Illinois, he was the son of the late James Frederick Pierceall and Bertha Mae Hamilton. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Army Achievement medal and the Good Conduct medal. He retired as Maintenance Supervisor with the National Park Service on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Larry was a lifetime member of the VFW in Bedford and a member of the Masons. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, Judith he is survived by his two sons: Thomas David Pierceall of Montvale, Lawrence David Pierceall, Jr. and wife, Vicki of California; seven grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Kevin, Julianna, Michael, Bryant, Breanna, and Taylor; two great-grandchildren: Aiden and Violet; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at the home of Judith Pierceall from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Final inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
