Lawrence 'Larry' Samuel Lindsey, Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” Samuel Lindsey, Jr., age 60, of Forest, VA, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was the loving husband of Penny Price Lindsey for over 37 years.
Larry was born in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of Lawrence Samuel Lindsey, Sr., and the late Barbara Wright Lindsey. He was a member of Immanuel Christian Church and worked for Simplimatic Automation for many years.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son, Trey Lindsey (Savanna), of Bedford; affectionally known as “Big Pops” to the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Payton Ryleigh Lindsey. Larry is also survived by his brother, Calvin G. Lindsey, of Lynchburg; sister, Tabitha Smith (Matt) of Forest; his best friend, William R. Witt (Chere); and a host of loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with a Celebration of Larry’s Life to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Reverend Mack Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
