Layla Rogue Bentley, two months old, of Bedford, Va. passed away surrounded by family Sunday, July 10, 2016. Born April 28, 2016, she was the beloved daughter of Justin and Jessica Bentley.
In addition to her parents, left to cherish Layla’s memory are siblings, Riley Hill, Anslee Bentley, and Loretta B. Bentley; grandparents, Dorothy Pettett and husband, Michael, Roy Collier, Kellie (Nana) Maberry and husband, Timothy (Pop), Will Opdyke; aunts and uncles, Christina, Chris, Bobbi-Jean, Kevin, Jason, Josh, Carey, Kerri, Ben, Josh, Michael, Amy, Courtney, Jacob, Dakota, Linda Ann; great-grandparents, John Boon and wife, Judy, Janece Fredericks and husband, Arthur, Harold and Patsy Maberry; great-great grandparents, Pearl Boon and Roseabelle Cash; many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends, who were like family, too great to list.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Donald and Peggy Bentley, Linda Boon; great-great grandparents, John R. Boon and Clinton H. Cash.
A celebration of Layla’s life will be held at Oakdale Baptist Church on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
