Leland Clyde Brumfield
Leland Clyde Brumfield, 52 of Lynchburg, died on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at University of Virginia Hospital.
He was born Tuesday, April 4, 1961 in Richmond, the son of the late Joyce Noel Brumfield.
Leland served his country in the Marine Corps and faithfully attended Leesville Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are his children: Sarah Brumfield and Aaron Brumfield, two sisters: Dianne Robertson and Nancy Grimes (Danny) all of Lynchburg, an uncle, Kenneth Brumfield (Cornelia) of Richmond, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Thomas, a brother-in-law, Jerry Robertson, and a great niece, Amanda Shauger.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2013, at Leesville Road Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm following the visitation at the church with Pastor Kevin Brooks officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
