Leo Klein, 79, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Bentley Commons.
He was the husband of the late Karen Klein.
Born Monday, September 27, 1937, he was the son of the late James Klein and the late Charlotte Klein.
He attended Penn State University and earned an associate’s degree in engineering. He was a welder and machinist. Leo was the owner of Klein Welding and Machine Service. Leo loved family gatherings, camping, and bible study. He was fascinated with World War II and other American history. Leo was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Surviving are his children, Debbie Hizer and husband, James, of Madison Heights, Timothy Klein of Spotsylvania, and Lawrence Klein of Marietta, GA; a sister, Joan Niziol and husband, Stanley, of Pittsburgh, PA; a grandson, Andrew Hizer of Madison Heights.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bentley Commons on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. with reception to follow.
