Leonard Erick Norberg, III, 74, of Lynchburg passed away at Guggenheimer Hospice on June 6, 2018. He was the husband of 48 years to Mary Ellen Goff Norberg.
He was born on November 30, 1943 to the late Leonard Erick Norberg and Madeline McLane Norberg. Erick was preceded in death by two sisters Joan L. Norberg and Linda N. Collins.
Erick retired from the Lynchburg Police Department and also served his country in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Karen N. Hatter and her husband Jon, and Erica M. Norberg of Lynchburg, Va., a grandson Allen Erick Hatter, one brother Jerry W. Norberg and his wife Vicki, two sisters Phyllis N. Burnley and her husband Robert, Peggy N. Thompson and her husband Bob, his best friend Johnny Woodie, and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10A.M.with the memorial service following at 11 A.M. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Interment will be in the Fort Hill Memorial Park.
