Leroy “Mutt” Calloway, 77, died Wednesday March 1, 2017, at his residence.
Born February 28, 1940, Leroy was a son of the late Temple Calloway and the late Geneva Lewis Calloway Saunders. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by four sisters, Mabel Saunders, Marguarite Payne (Delaware), Julia Page (Melvin), and Cora Ross (William); two brothers, Lynwood Saunders (Mary Jane), and John Saunders; his uncle, Theodore Lewis (Ruth); his nephew, Ralph Edward Saunders; two special cousins, McKinley And James Marshall; and a special friend, Big Boy Flood.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Way of the Cross Church with Pastor Mary O. Johnson and Pastor James E. Johnson officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
