Leroy Edgar Peter, Sr.,

LeRoy Edgar Peter, Sr., 80, of Bedford, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at his residence. Born January 3, 1933 in Washington, DC, a son of the late Mildred Elizabeth Barnes Peter and LeRoy Francis Peter.

 In addition to his parents, LeRoy was preceded in death by four sons, Michael Alan Pheasant, James M. Pheasant, LeRoy Edgar Peter, Jr. and Mathew Wayne Peter. He is survived by his wife of         years, Suzanne Marie Rupert Peter; two sons, Thomas George Pheasant of Salem; two daughters, Katheryne Victoria Jarels and her husband, Rodney of Bedford and Jennifer Lynn Sanderson and her husband, Clarence of Goode; five grandchildren, Corey Alan Jarels of Ft. Hood, TX, Rodney Michael Jarels of Bedford, James LeRoy Pheasant of Bedford, Ashley Lynne Pheasant of Trenton, NJ and Jonathan Michael Pheasant of Bedford; four great-grandchild, Kyleigh, Sage, Sophia and Jacob Jarels all of Bedford; one sister, Doris Mae Johnson and her husband, Alfred of Adelphi, MD; and one niece, Janet Lynne McGrath.
