Leslie Beatrice Gratto, 92, of Lynchburg died Wednesday April 27, 2016. She was the wife of the late Charles Raymond Gratto.
Leslie was born February 11, 1924 in the Tye River community of Nelson County, a daughter of the late George Franklin Smith and Nellie Hope Hughes Smith.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Smith and husband, Mike, of Lynchburg, and Linda Marcoux and her husband, Roger, of Maine; two sons, Tim Gratto and his wife, Debbie, of Maine, and Jimmy Gratto, of Forest; one sister, Virginia L. Smith, of Lynchburg; sister-in-law, Helen Patnaude; six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Leslie’s Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with the Chaplain Debrah Zuercher officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Central and Western Virginia, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, Va. 22901 or to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd. Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
The family would like to thank Avante at Lynchburg for their loving care for the 15 years that their “little buddy” was there.
