Les W. Williams, 74, of Lynchburg, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Sarah Williams.
Born April 2, 1943, in Santa Maria, California. He lived in Campbell County since Sept 1989. He retired from Areva as a Project Manager, spent the last seven years working and pursuing his hobby at Petrey’s Guns and attended Blue Ridge Community Church. He was active in Campbell County Republicans serving as chairman for two years.
In addition to his wife, Les is survived by his children: Shannon Martin, Heather Williams, Katie Williams, and Summer Whittaker; grandchildren: Alex Williams, Anna Ramos, Talia Ramos, and Celia Whittaker; two brothers Wayne Williams and Lt. Richard W. Williams.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Blue Ridge Community Church. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford is assisting the family.
