Lewis Jackson Chryssikos, 79, of Bedford passed away on September 12, 2014. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Kathy) Warren Chryssikos.
Born in Bedford, March 5, 1935, Lewis was the son of the late John Nick Chryssikos and Katie Coleman Chryssikos. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired firefighter and a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church.
Lewis is preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Webb; and two brothers: Homer Lee Chryssikos and James Paul Chryssikos.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Patricia Stapf and husband, David, and Lucy Marie Porter and friend, Donald Smith; sons: Phillip Chryssikos, John Nick Chryssikos and wife, Patricia and Robert Lewis Chryssikos and wife, Tammy; sister, Georgia Witt; grandchildren: Elsie Keener and husband, Andrew, Christopher Chryssikos and wife, Erica, Crystal Whitehead, Christina Chryssikos, Joseph Stapf, Gretchen Carleton and husband, Peter, Candace Blankenship, Shawn Webb, Zachary Webb, Ryan Webb, Patrick Chryssikos, Erica Porter and Steven Porter; 14 great-grandchildren; special friend, Raymond Bryant and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford with Rev. John Salley officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 15, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
