Lewis Gilbert Stevens Jr.

Lewis Gilbert Stevens, Jr., passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, after a recent illness. He was the son of Lewis G. Stevens and Marguerite Bailey Stevens. Lewis was born in Lynchburg on November 1, 1947. He graduated from E.C. Glass High School, attended the University of Virginia, Lynchburg College, and retired from B & W after 30 years of service. Lewis was preceded in death by his son, Lewis G. Stevens, III. He is survived by the wife of his children, Mabel Stevens, and a daughter, Marguerite Elizabeth “Beth” Graham (Allen), of Williamsburg, Virginia, and three grandchildren, William, Marion, and Jack. Also, a list of devoted friends that he considered his family.

Lewis was a considerate and caring person, willing to help others whenever possible. He will be greatly missed by the many friends he made over the years. He loved “bargain” hunting and often would get two or three of a “good deal”, to show off and share it with his friends. He will also miss his faithful companion “Jack”, who went everywhere with him.
