Lillian Crouch Creasy

Lillian Estelle Crouch Creasy, 82 of Forest, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Morris Franklin Creasy.

Lillian was born May 20, 1929 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late James William Crouch and the late Lizzie Ford Crouch. She was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church and was retired from Blue Buckle Manufacturing and was the first cook at the opening of Timberlake Christian School.

She is survived by four daughters, Deborah C. Reynolds and her husband, Danny of Forest, Karen C. Jordan and her husband, Sonny of Lynchburg, Melva C. Walker and her husband, Sayford \"Pete\" Walker of Forest and Harriet C. Edwards of Lynchburg, a sister Norma Jean Nichols of Huddleston; two granddaughters, Shelly A. Caudill and her husband, Steven of Forest, Tiffany W. Tyree of Lynchburg and five great grandchildren, Robert Tyree, Tyler White, Morgan Tyree, and Meghan and Brooke Caudill.

In addition to her husband Mrs. Creasy was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur L. Crouch, James L. Crouch, Robert B. Crouch and three sisters: Mary Elwee Childress, Geraldine C. Clark, and Barbara C. Candler.

The family would like to thank the staff of Avanté at Lynchburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the special care given to her.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg and all other time at the residence, 1818 Fox Ridge Road, Forest. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 26, 2011 at11:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Richard Jett officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park
