Linda B. Seay, 58, of Forest, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2013 after a courageous, two year battle with cancer. Linda was born on December 12, 1954 in Washington, D.C., the fourth child of the late John and Mildred Bussler of Annandale, Va. Linda was a long-time teacher in the Lynchburg City and Bedford School Systems and for many years was a kindergarten teacher at Forest Elementary School. Linda was a 1973 graduate of Falls Church High School and Virginia Tech, Class of \"™77. She was an avid Hokie Football fan, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and long-time member of Beulah Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael Seay of Forest; daughter, Amy C. Terrell and husband, Andrew of San Antonio, Texas; son, Brian M. Seay and wife, Rachel of Lynchburg; and grandsons, Luke and Nathan Terrell. She is also survived by three brothers: John C. Bussler and wife, Jinny of Mt. Airy, Ga., Laurence E. Bussler of Ruther Glen, Va., and Robert A. Bussler and wife, Teri of Stafford, Va., her devoted sister, Judy B. Harvey and husband, Bill of Jasper, Ga., cherished uncle, Robert Bussler of Alexandria, Va.; and cousins, Mary B. Edwardsson and husband, Peter, and Janice Bussler.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, March 20th at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg and other times at the residence. A celebration of Linda\"™s life will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday, March 21st at Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth, Dr. Gene Mims, and Rev. Brian M. Seay presiding. The family will have a private graveside service at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Linda\"™s many friends for their love and support during her illness, with particular thanks to her co-workers at Forest Elementary School, the congregation of Beulah Baptist Church and the staff of Lynchburg Hematology/Oncology and Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their professional and loving care.
