Linda Huffman Cox

Linda Huffman Cox, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was the wife of Bryan James Cox for 50 years.

Linda was born in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late George Nelsie Huffman and Ila Blackwell Huffman. Linda was a retired schoolteacher who taught at both Lynchburg City schools and a Washington D.C. parochial school. She was a member of First Christian Church in Lynchburg.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons: Christopher Bryan Cox of Annandale (Kasia), and Timothy Alan Cox (Kimberly) of Burke, a sister Kaye H. Ragland of Lynchburg (Robert), and three grandchildren: Allison Cox, Catherine Cox, and Sophia Cox.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Jarrett G. Banks officiating. Interment will be held privately at the Old City Cemetery Columbarium.
